Yes, you can use a TTi sprayer as a pest control sprayer. Using your sprayer for pest control can help with controlling pests like insects, weeds, fungi and even rodents in gardens, lawns and farms. If you’re using a pest control sprayer, ensure you use the right chemicals, and the right type of nozzle, so you can create the most effective spray, depending on what you need to control. It is also really important to wear protective gear when spraying pesticides and insecticides. Always check with the manufacturer of your specific sprayer before using these chemicals, as some can’t be used with a pest control sprayer.

Backpack sprayers, perfect to use at-home as a garden or weedkiller sprayer, are available in sizes between 1L to 16L. If you’re after a boom sprayer or something for other agriculture work, you can find these in sizes from 300L through to 1000L.

Choosing a quality sprayer comes down to safety and durability. After all, you’re dealing with potentially harmful chemicals. Your spray unit needs to be safe to use and must be free from leaks. Many cheap sprayers imported from overseas are not designed to withstand Australian conditions and are made from inferior components.
A quality weed sprayer may be more expensive, but it is likely to provide you with many years of service and is less likely to break down on the job, causing downtime. If you choose to go for a good quality, Australian-made spray unit – choose a TTi sprayer.

It’s important to choose the right chemicals when using a weedkiller sprayer. Depending on the chemicals you are using, you may need to adjust the nozzle and spraying wand type, as not all are compatible with chemicals. Take care to note the recommended amount of weedkiller to put into your tank, and ensure it is mixed with the right amount of water. Next, ensure you’ve got protective gear on, particularly around your hands and face. Hold the nozzle about 18-24 inches away from the weeds you are targeting, and move the spraying wand back and forth in a sweeping motion, to ensure you’re covering all areas. Once you’ve finished using the weedkiller sprayer, ensure you clean all components as per manufacturer instructions.
